WHY ACT?

 
Are you looking to study in the United States?
 
The ACT is a standardized test used for college admissions in the United States. It was first introduced in November 1959 and All four-year colleges and universities in the U.S. accept the ACT.
 
The ACT consists of 4 mandatory tests: (1) English, (2) Mathematics, (3) Reading, (4) Science and the optional Writing Test. Admissions officers use it to judge your academic preparedness for college, so make sure to get the best possible outcome with King’s English.

We teach students of all ages and abilities and guide each student towards their best possible score GUARANTEED. We offer 30 hour and 60 hour courses for individuals and small groups (2 or 3) of students. Each course is custom designed to enhance the strengths and address the weaknesses of each student. We only offer qualified, experienced, native English speakers to teach the English language content of our courses.

In recent weeks the Covid-19 situation has become increasingly worse and very worrying for all of us. Schools are closed and should be offering online learning to supplement and replace all classroom teaching, homework assignments, examination preparation and project work. We here at King’s English are more than happy to work with students on their school assignments and try to support them in terms of organisation, time management and other guidance as needed.

King’s English will continue to operate and offer the following option to all our students:

Students can have their tutorials delivered by an online learning interface such as Skype or Zoom. Although these methods of teaching and learning will take a little bit of getting used to, they work well, and we have used online teaching and learning techniques for many years. In the past, most of the online teaching and learning occurred when a student was too ill to attend a tutorial but who needed to be taught because end of year, IGCSE, A Level, SAT or IB exams or major school-administered tests were looming. In the current situation, this option is well worthy of consideration. Online tutorials would be scheduled at the same time as their face-to-face counterparts or could be rescheduled if an alternative time is convenient for the student and the tutor.

At King’s English we are always here to discuss any and all matters relating to your son’s or your daughter’s education. Just because we are dealing with a health crisis does not mean that education must stop – you child’s future is as important today as it ever was.
